Player, a British-American rock band formed in 1976, Los Angeles, California, by lead vocalist and lead guitarist, Peter Becket, from Liverpool, England, and pianist-guitarist, John Charles “JC” Crawley, from Houston, Texas.


Baby, Come Back,” from the 1977 “Player” debut and studio album by Player, was led by Peter Becket in the key of D sharp major or E flat major (D# | Eb).

In 1976, Peter Becket and John Charles “JC” Crowley formed Player, as bassist-vocalist Ronald “Ronn” Moss and drummer, John Friesen, joined shortly after.

In 1978, JC Crowley left Player to pursue a solo career as an artist and songwriter.

In 1980, Ronn Moss left Player to focus on his acting career.

In 1982, Miles Joseph, guitarist-vocalist, and Rusty Buchannan, bassist, joined Player.

In 1995, Ronn Moss rejoined Player.

In 2003, Player disbanded.
