Maranatha


Maranatha, or Maranatha Singers, were the in-house choir at Maranatha Music, a Christian music record label founded in 1971 as a nonprofit ministry of Calvary Chapel with Pastor Charles “Chuck” Smith.


Praise The Lord,” on the 1974 “Praise” studio album, was led by Russ Stevens and Peter Jacobs of Calvary Chapel in the key of G major (G), and on the 1999 “Praise 1” studio album, was sung by by the Maranatha! Singers in the key of F major (F).
